In the latest edition of the NHL podcast “Draft Class”, Goran Stubb, Director of European Scouting, who deals intensively with European talent, spoke about Austrian talent Marco Kasper. After a good year in Sweden, the striker was also able to convince for Austria at the IIHF World Championship 2022 in Finland.
“Marco Kasper is one of five top draft candidates who were used at the World Championship,” explains Stubb. “I’ve seen him in two games and you have to say he’s only 18 years old. He’s already breaking through at this level of men’s hockey jerseys, so I’m really convinced that a lot of NHL scouts who are in Finland are delighted with what they saw of him. He was outstanding in what seemed like a weak team.”
