Hertl extends contract at Sharks by eight years

Tomas Hertl has agreed on Wednesday with the San Jose Sharks on an eight year. The financial conditions were not announced.

The 28-year-old striker is located in the last season of a four-year contract, which he signed on 2 July 2018 at the Sharks, and after the season could have become an unrettized free agent.

Hertl has achieved this season in 59 games 48 points (25 goals, 23 assists). He is with Timo Meier the second best scorer of the Sharks and lies second in the points behind Meier (58).

Hertl selected by the Sharks in the first round (# 17) of NHL Drafts 2012 has in 562 playing the regular season 371 points (176 goals, 195 assists) and in 62 Stanley Cup playoff-playing 42 points (24 Goals, 18 assists) achieved.

San Jose (26-25-8) is located in the Pacific Division on the seventh place and has eight points behind the Vegas Golden Knights in the fight for the second Wild Card for the playoffs in Western Conference. The Sharks play on Thursday at the Los Angeles Kings (10 P.M. et; nhl.tv; Fr. 3 o’clock mez).
