Bruins coach Cassidy says qualifying for Stanley Cup NHL jerseys playoffs is nothing to celebrate

The Boston Bruins have qualified for the Stanley Cup NHL jerseys playoffs for the sixth straight year and 75th in franchise history. The deciding factor was Saturday’s 2-1 home win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. For coach Bruce Cassidy, however, that’s no reason to be overjoyed. “We have certain standards here, so we’re not going there to celebrate making the playoffs. But of course it’s an achievement to be proud of,” he said.

After a slow start to the season, the Bruins have steadily risen. With seven games to go, they’re now an inevitable choice for a playoff spot in the East. In the remaining games, the team’s goal is to prepare for the upcoming final. “We’re in now and we can start building our game for the playoffs,” Cassidy announced.
